Fall Fun with Literacy

Hello everybody! The river valley is starting to turn to gold!! Every morning I drive down Groat Road, turn onto the River Valley Road and then drive up to PALS through the Legislative Grounds. I love the drive and watching all the seasons change. This is a beautiful time of year. I know that Fall is the harbinger of Winter but, please, enjoy this season while you can. It is so lovely…

We all had a wonderful time at International Literacy Day and it was great to see you all at City Hall and then at The Open House. It was a proud day for us all!

Book Club and Singalong

Learners! This week Book Club and Singalong have started. You only have 2 more weeks to join the book club and then I shut down the registration. It is too hard to catch up once we are more than 3 chapters into the book. Please call Bonnie at PALS if you want to join us! This group is open to ELL students who have CLB 4 and up for Reading.

Singalong you can join anytime—we have room for 5 or 6 students! When you sing you practice reading, the proper sounds of the words and learn the culture of Canada! Join us and have lots of fun!!

Welcome New Tutors

We have so many new tutors in Literacy! It is wonderful! Welcome Devon, Julianna, Konsoler, Lauren, Maryanne, Rajvir and Sourav! I am looking forward to getting you all trained and matched with one of our wonderful learners!
