How to Manage Your Money Class

Wednesdays, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM starting March 8 at the PALS office

Join this 4-week class to better understand your money and:

  • Keep track of your income and expenses
  • Calculate your spending over time
  • Determine your needs and wants
  • Make a spending plan that works for you

Math Test Preparation

March 12, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
at the PALS office

If you are in the apprenticeship program or in school and preparing for a math exam, come to this workshop and learn:

  • strategies for writing the exam
  • math problem-solving techniques
  • how to use the calculator
  • tips for dealing with anxiety
  • time management


The workshop will include a practice test to try your skills.

There will be a break for lunch.

Parenting Through Numbers

March 14, 1:00 – 3:00 PM
at the PALS office

We are going to learn how we can not only help our children learn math using everyday tasks, play, and activities; we are also going to help ourselves become better at math, its terms, its language.

We are going to touch on what attachment parenting is and how we can empower and increase self-confidence in our children, even when we are disciplining them. What does it have to do with math?

FUN!!! We all need to have fun, not just our kids 

Computer Basics

For adults with little or no computer experience.

Learn to:

  • use a computer
  • use basic programs
  • use files and folders
  • personalize your computer

Internet Basics

Tuesdays, 11:30-1:00 PM, starting March 28
Wednesdays, 12:30-2:00 PM, starting April 5
Thursdays, 9:30-11:00 AM, starting April 13

For adults with some computer experience to learn to use the Internet

Learn:

  • about web browsers
  • to use websites and links
  • to use email
  • how to create strong passwords and stay safe online

Chromebooks

Thursdays, 11:30-1:00 PM, starting March 30

Learn to use your Chromebook for everyday tasks.

Learn to use:

  • ChromeOS
  • Google Drive for managing files
  • Google Docs

Skills for Work

Fridays, 9:30-11:00 AM, starting March 31

For adults who want to learn how to use office programs for everyday tasks

Learn to use:

  • word processors
  • spreadsheets
  • slides
