My Family Trip to Toronto
By Brandon
My family and I left for Toronto via Calgary on Air Canada. We landed at the Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga at 18.50 hours after a 3 hour and 20-minute flight.
We stayed with family in Mississauga. My sister and I also spent time with our cousins who live in an expensive condo on Yonge Street in Toronto. We enjoyed some fantastic sightseeing in downtown Toronto. The Toronto Eaton Center is a huge glass domed mall. There are many specialty shops and a food court. I enjoyed an oriental meal.
We also visited the St Lawrence market situated in a historic brick building on Front Street. One can buy delicious baked goods, delicacies, different cheeses, fruit, vegetables, wine, poultry, fish, fresh scallops, shrimp, lobster, and squid.
Our next stop was the entertainment district where we attended a Toronto Blue Jays game at their Rogers Centre. The Jays defeated the New York Yankees.

We also attended a Shania Twain concert at the Scotia Bank arena. Our last trip was to the CN Tower where we had lunch and walked across the glass floor to cool off hundreds of feet above the pavement.
We took a Ferry to Centre Island Park where I took a stunning picture of the Toronto skyline reflected on Lake Ontario.
We did experience something alarming. Five minutes out of Pearsons Airport the number 2 engine failed, but we were able to return safely to Toronto where we boarded another plane home.
