News from TAC – See You at the Conference!

The Tutor Advisory Committee (TAC) facilitates communication among tutors and serves as a liaison between tutors and the Executive Director of PALS. We organize events by tutors, for tutors!

We attended the AGM/Learner and Volunteer Recognition Celebration in our green TAC scarves. Thank you for stopping by to say hello and learn more about TAC. It was great to meet you!

TAC offers two ongoing programs for all PALS tutors:

Sharing Circle

Every two months, TAC invites tutors in all streams to an informal group chat. We suggest a topic for discussion, and tutors gather to ask questions, share ideas, and talk about how your tutoring is going. Whether you are a brand new tutor or have years of experience, you are very welcome to join us and connect with your fellow PALS tutors!

The next Sharing Circle will be on May 25, in person at the PALS conference. We would love to see you there!

Tutor Connect

Tutor Connect allows you to connect with a fellow tutor to ask questions, discuss ideas or get some advice. Choose from the list of tutors who are willing to be contacted by a fellow tutor on the PALS website. You can choose a name from Math, Literacy/LELL or Digital and contact them through their email. Once you’ve made your first connection, you may together decide to continue virtually or by phone.

We have recently sent out a survey asking about your experience with the program over the past three months. Thank you very much for your feedback! Another quarterly survey will come to you in July.
