Summer Learning in LELL

Hello everyone! Now that it’s June, let’s hope for more sun outside and less “windy” warnings on our weather apps!!! 😊

A new month also brings new opportunities and exciting activities for you all.

Open Spots

Conversation circle: Fridays, 12:30-2:30 PM

This class allows you to polish your speaking skills using different methods. Class interaction and participation would be perfect for learners to build confidence.
We only have a couple of spots left so make sure you contact us and register.

Grammar and Beyond (CLB 3-5): Thursdays, 12:00-2:00 PM

We are starting a new Grammar class! If you are at between CLB 3-5, please connect with us to register.

Kindly note that registrations are done on a first come, first served basis.

Thank You

Thank you to all our Tutors. LELL is a big group of 179 active learners, and it would not have been possible without your support and commitment.

Field Trips

At PALS, we always encourage activities that are not only fun but also a great learning opportunity for our learners. 😊

We have the following field trips planned for the upcoming months:

  • Art Gallery
    Date: June 27
    Time: 4:30 PM
  • Legislature Building
    Date: July 30
    Time: 12:45 – 2:30 PM

The spots for the field trips are limited, please make sure to register and secure your spot!

Lastly, as June 16th is Father’s Day, don’t forget to hug our heroes extra-long.

Here is a beautiful poem for you:

“To Her Father with Some Verses” by Anne Bradstreet

Most truly honored and as truly dear,
If worth in me or ought I do appear,
Who can of right better demand the same
Then may your worthy self from whom it came?
The principal might yield a greater sum,
Yet handled ill, amounts but to this crumb;
My stock’s so small I do know not how to pay,
My bond remains in force unto this day;
Yet for part payment take this simple mite,
Where nothing’s to be had, kings lose their rights.
Such is my debt I may not say forgive,
But as I can, I’ll pay it while I live;
Such is my bond, none can discharge but I,
Yet paying is not paid until I die.
