Summer Science and More

Hello everyone,

I’m the Math Literacy Coordinator at PALS, and I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you. Our mission is to improve literacy within our community, regardless of age, background, or financial situation. Our dedicated team has been working hard and I’m proud to say that we’ve achieved significant milestones recently.

We’ve launched science classes for trade at our main office every Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM. Led by the enthusiastic instructor Seun, these classes will provide a comprehensive science course. The first group has already started on August 12. The second science group will begin in mid-September.

Additionally, we’re forming three math learners’ groups at both our main office and the Stanley Milner Library. These groups aim to complete the trade math course in just three months, offering faster learning with experienced instructors and peer support. Learners at similar levels will be grouped together.

In September, we will also hold a once-a-week Financial Literacy workshop at the PALS office every Friday from 1 to 3 PM. Limited seats are available.

Talk to Erum at the PALS office to register or for more information on all of these learning opportunities.

Looking ahead, we have exciting plans. We’re working on expanding our courses to cover more subjects in high demand. We’re also exploring new ways of teaching, like online classes and interactive workshops.

We’re pleased to introduce our new tutors, Eric and Daniel, who have joined PALS. Together, we’re determined to provide even more opportunities for learners to improve their math skills and build confidence in the subject.

Education is a lifelong journey, and we’re dedicated to giving our learners the best tools, resources, and support to achieve their goals. We’re excited about our progress and plans, and we’re committed to making a positive impact in education. Thank you for your ongoing support and stay tuned for more updates.
