Tutor Advisory Committee Update – August 2022

The Role of The PALS Tutor Advisory Committee (TAC)

TAC was formed to ensure there is a focus on a key component of PALS – the Tutors. Formal support for Tutors exists within PALS but TAC will augment that support. TAC is a non-decision making body reporting to the Executive Director. The Committee may provide feedback, suggestions and/or recommendations to PALS through the Executive Director.

Tutor to Tutor Sharing Circle:  Meet at the Park!

We at the PALS Tutor to Tutor Sharing Circle are excited to invite you to our first in-person meetup on Thursday, August 25th between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at RJW (Dick) Mather Memorial Park.

We would like to take advantage of the great summer weather to celebrate and connect with our tutor community in a more personable way after a year of online zoom meetings. To that end we have theme this sharing circle the “Bring Your Own Dinner Open House.” As the name suggest, we would like this to be a fun, relaxed and hassle-free event. Just drop in at your convenience with your meal and a lawn chair.

Let’s take this opportunity to encourage and uplift each other, face to face, as we swap stories, anecdotes, and knowledge.

Directions
The park is located next to the McKay Avenue School which is one block east of the PALS office. We ask everyone to meet at the gazebo.
