To New Tutors
Hello and a warm welcome to PALS. Members of the Tutor Advisory Committee (TAC) have started to attend the new tutor orientations to introduce ourselves and explain our role at PALS. We are a committee that was created to serve our growing and diverse community of tutors in a peer-to-peer format that encourages the respectful exchange of ideas and a sense of camaraderie.
Our meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 5:15 pm on Zoom. All tutors are welcome to join our meetings to observe what we’re about. To find out more, please contact us at [email protected]
Tutors to Tutors
Our Sharing Circle held its final meeting on Thursday, November 3 via Zoom. We had a lively discussion to wrap up our 2022 year of tutoring and discussed plans and goals for 2023. As this is a tutor-needs focus group any suggestions for future topics or ideas for discussion are always welcome. Please drop us a line at [email protected]. Our next Sharing Circle will be in January – watch your emails for an invitation and topic. We would love to see you there.
The Sharing Circles are by tutors for tutors and is hosted by the Tutor Advisory Committee (TAC).
Mentoring Project
The Mentoring Project is a Go!
After many months of waiting, the TAC mentoring project is up and running. The revised PALS website has a new Tutor login section. Once you are logged in there is a tab titled TAC Mentorship Program. It has the names and email addresses of tutors who have agreed to be contacted by any tutor with questions or concern; or by those wanting some advice or just to connect with a fellow tutor.
To sign up for access to the Tutor login site, contact Adam at [email protected]
