I have now been with PALS for four months and in that time, we have done orientation with almost 40 new tutors. I enjoyed meeting each and every one of you. As we near the halfway point of the year, I realize I have only grazed the surface of who you are, and I would like to get to know you better. Are there likes and dislikes, skills, and strengths, that would help make your experience volunteering for PALS more fulfilling? Are your needs and wants as a volunteer being met? What can I do to make your time with us feel more rewarding? As time permits, I would like to be in contact with you once again and see how your volunteering is going and if there are other ways in which you would like to “give” that would make you feel fulfilled.
I read an interesting blog from Volunteer Match that I would like to share with you: Does Your Volunteer Manager Know You? Think about yourself, what motivates you, and how PALS may be able to meet some of your needs going forward.
